Apartamento was founded in Barcelona in 2008. Its namesake magazine, published twice yearly and widely considered one of the most influential interiors publications of the past two decades, is rooted in how people actually live: the spaces they inhabit, the food they cook, the work they make, and the conviction with which they build their lives. Known for its unfiltered, human approach, each issue brings long-form conversations with artists, writers, designers, and thinkers across disciplines, accompanied by photography that unsettles conventional categories.
The values of the magazine extend beyond print. Through events, collaborations, exhibitions, design objects, and a growing body of short and documentary films, Apartamento builds community in real spaces around the world.
Since 2015, Apartamento has published books across a range of formats: monographs, cookbooks, photobooks, architecture series, artist books, and even a graphic novel. The publishing programme extends the editorial curiosity of the magazine into longer, more sustained forms, spanning art, design, architecture, food, and visual culture.

Current issues of Apartamento magazine tend to sell out quickly, and all earlier issues are sold out and can be hard to find. Our digital archive preserves each and every issue of the magazine on our website, a place where members  can read every interview, essay, and story ever published!

At the moment, we’ve paused the option to gift a membership while we’re transitioning to a new website. In the meantime, you can always buy a copy of the magazine and add the lucky recipient’s address as the shipping address at check out.

You can access all discounts the same day! Once you’ve become a member and have logged into your account, you can place a new order using an automatic discount that will be applied at check out.

Currently, it’s not possible for us to combine member shipments with other orders. The magazine will be shipped directly from our printer to make sure our members are among the first ones to receive each issue, while regular orders are shipped from our warehouse in Barcelona.
